Asos perfect platform court shoes (Asos)

Well the weather in Scotland has been so bad that I've had to take some snow days, no traveling at all the roads are very icy.

That of course means a bit of online retail therapy :)

I went over to the Asos site and found these, they have a 3cm platform and a 12cm heel so shouldn't be too hard to walk in.
I really like this toffee colour but they do also come in black.

The almond toe shape is also really nice and I can see these going really well with trousers, both jeans and formal.

Have ordered them but with these weather conditions I have no idea when I'll get them since I've had no regular mail either.

Purely on looks I'd give these an 8/10, time will tell :)

Red or Dead Ettore Boots ( Schuh )

When I saw these I thought that the heel was metal, wasn't until I got closer to them I saw the heel was black and white stripes. These have an amazing 14cm heel and a 5cm platform. They remind me of the Austin Powers films and even though I like the base colour I really do not like them overall. I especially loathe the black toe section. I find them a bit tacky looking and the with the price they are it's something I wouldn't consider buying. Again they do not come in an 8.

Lucky these ones do come in an 8 so I got to try them on, surprisingly easy to walk in and quite comfortable. Could be quite useful with all the snow we currently have. Unlike the other colouring I actually do like these. The colours are quite autumnal and much more sedated than the other more vibrant style. If it weren't for the price I'd actually buy these.

So ratings
For the first ones 1/10 I really don't like them
Black ones 9/10

Lois point court (Schuh )

It's Saint Andrews day today, so what better way to show it than with a pair of blue heels to go with the Saltire. Anyone who knows me knows I have a weakness for blue shoes so really I needed to excuse to talk about these. These heels have been around for a while in other colours, such as red, black, stone, a pastel green and light grey.

Unfortunately for me I couldn't get the blue in a size 8 so I had to try on the red ones. The heel height is 12cm and have NO platform, have to be honest I couldn't walk in them, they were just too high for me. They're very sexy looking although maybe a touch porno, especially the stone, they look like a good choice to match with a nurses outfit from Ann Summers.

Love the colour but not very practical. Would look great for a night out but I think dancing would be out of the question.

I'll rate them a 4, nice to look at in your shoe closest but that's about all I could use them for.

Prince court glitter ( Schuh )

With party season fast approaching you'll need something that says fun fun fun. These shoes are COVERED in glitter, they'll catch the light from any angle. With the level of snow at the moment these would not be practical but who wouldn't wear them around the house to brighten up the day? The platform is 3.5cm and the heel is 13.5cm.

One major drawback for me though, they don't come in a size 8.

So...

Cinderella can go to the ball...

...unless her feet are bigger than a UK 7.

For style and for the season I'll rate them a 7.

Schuh mouse velvet court ( Schuh )

Anyone who knows me will know I have a soft spot for blue shoes, don't ask me why I just find them awesome. However as much as I love blue I'm not so keen on velvet or suede shoes, it's nothing against the shoes or material I just find it that little bit more difficult to clean, stay clean or looking good and we all know when it comes to women and shoes we like our shoes to look good.

They have an 11cm heel with a 2.5 cm platform, they also come in a deep red colour where the heel is also coloured to match. The red ones though look a bit too much in colour to my grans hall carpet though, not sure that's constructive criticism.

It's a hard one to mark since I do really love the colour but price and material mean personally it's not so great.

Buying new shoes

Been really busy lately but on a regular shoe trawling spree I found a lovely website with lots of gorgeous shoes, of course I was looking for my favourite type Christian Louboutin Shoes and found a whole array of beautiful styles. In particular I loved the purple suede pumps.

Wasn't just Louboutins, they had a wide variety of Prada Shoes  and Cole Haan Shoes . The latter is probably not my personal taste since I prefer high heels but there were a lot of really nice Prada boots that I would adore.

Office Trouble Shooter (Office)

Had to order these online since they didn't have my size in store. They come in two colours, patent black leather and this gorgeous dark metallic blue leather. Like most office shoes they're easy to walk in and very comfortable for a high heel. Only problem is after looking up the site for the picture I found another pair that I want.

Frenchie Butterfly Courts (Schuh)

I noticed these a few weeks ago but hadn't seen them in store until recently. With a 2cm concealed platform and a 12cm heel they have a height of around 4inches. I'm not one for bows and other assortments on my shoes normally, preferring more of a classical clean look but I really did like these. They come in Black or Red but one majorly disappointing fact is that they do not do them in my size. :( Sadly this made me slightly upset and feeling bad about my big feet :( Shoe shopping is meant to make you feel good.

Anyway it's hard to score something you can't try on.

Purely on looks I score the 7/10

Office Bedroom Antics (Office)

Noticed these a few weeks ago when browsing but didn't have the time to test them. Must say I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them on, I found them to be comfortable, which I really wasn't expecting. They come in 4 colours , pink, black, peach and turquoise. The peach looks incredibly like ballet points. They have a lovely 5inch heel and the lace up ribbon is a nice touch. Must admit I like these a lot.

Jessica Simpson Waleo

Found these whilst looking at the Amazon store, sadly it was the US version. Not sure if they're available in the UK which is a little bit gutting. Been looking for some nice blue shoes for ages and these are just stunning. Beautiful blue violet suede with a 1.4 inch platform and a heel just over 5inches.

Score 6/10
Love them but availability is a drawback.

Carvela And Snake Print Peep-Toe Platform Shoes (John Lewis)

Received an email a few days ago telling me about the John Lewis clearance sale. Went along today and picked these up. Tan coloured peep toe courts by Carvela , HUGE heel of nearly 6inches and surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in. Has a double undershot platform and a fusion pattern which make these beautiful shoes. Now to find somewhere to where them to.

Red or Dead Popava peeps ( Schuh )

Went into Schuh on the way home and came across these, immediately I thought they looked VERY heavy. Upon picking them up I was pleasantly surprised, they're a lot lighter than what I had thought. With a 2 inch platform and a 6inch heel they're very high. I love the angles and shapes on the shoe, makes it look unique. However it made me walk rather cumbersomely, I doubt they're be attractive for a night out.

Louboutin leather pumps

There's no denying that Christian Louboutin makes wonderful shoes and these are classic and well made. Around 5inches in height, black leather with an almond toe with his signature red leather sole. Very much a shoe aimed at high class working females which of course I mean lawyers and other professionals. However I personally wasn't keen on them when I tried them. The flaw for me is the toe, it's too short. I don't like being able to see my "toe cleavage" and for me they remind me too much of my normally ballet pumps with a heel added.

Iron Fist Muerte Platform Punk (Office)

For a shoe that's been out since last year this is still one of my favourites around. I'm not into the punk scene and I knew that muerte meant death but these shoes are just beautiful with their skull and rose detailing. As far as I know the shoe comes in 2 colours, the grey and purple shown here and blue and red.

I fell in love with these the moment I saw them, they have a small platform of 1.5cm and a heel of 11cm, which is about 4.5inches in height but they are surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in.

The Iron First brand make a lot of unusual styled shoes but for me these ones are as pretty as any more feminine looking shoe on the market today.
Currently on sale in Office.
